If we feature a photo of your project, we’ll make a reasonable effort to credit you.

We may review, edit, decline, or remove any Submission at our discretion. We are not obligated to use or respond to any Submission.

Please give us accurate information and keep it current. You can unsubscribe or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.

The Site links to third-party websites, retailers, and services that we don’t own or control. We are not responsible for their content, products, privacy practices, or terms. Visiting a third-party site is at your own risk and subject to that site’s terms.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GIRLS ON IT, ITS OWNERS, EDITORS, CONTRIBUTORS, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, LOST PROFITS, OR LOST DATA, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR RELIANCE ON ANY CONTENT, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limits, so some of the above may not apply to you. In those cases, our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and try to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. If the dispute isn’t resolved, it must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming County, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies.

17. Notice to California Residents

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

19. Termination

We may suspend or end your access to the Site, or any part of it, at any time and for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law, will continue to apply.

20. General

  • Entire agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Editorial Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Girls On It regarding the Site.
  • Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest of these Terms remain in effect.
  • No waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
  • Assignment: You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may assign ours in connection with a sale or transfer of the Site.
